Business Assistance Application Form Now Available

Previously, the EDC published an article titled, "What Your Economic Development Corporation Can Do" that outlined the primary ways in which the organization is designed to promote economic growth through job creation. In many instances, citizens interested in business development are left asking what assistance is available and exactly how to go about making a request.

In response to this, the Floydada EDC has composed an official application form to make it easier to make requests for assistance. The form describes what type of assistance is available and allows the applicant the opportunity to fully describe their business venture. There is no cost associated with the application process.

If you're not sure if your business venture is qualified for assistance, here are a few examples that may help you.

• If you are in manufacturing and want to expand your operation that will create new jobs
• If you are planning a new operation and need help with infrastructure such as gas, water, electric, internet access, streets or roads
• If you need assistance locating land for new development or working with landowners
• If you need employment training that requires a skilled or specially trained workforce

In addition to those items listed in the application, the EDC is your source for learning all of the available programs that are available. Applications can also be picked up at our office located at 105 S. 5th in the Technology Center.
